Etsy.com is "Your place to buy and sell all things handmade." You can find everything from a dining room table to a hair bows to a vintage fur! It really has everything you could ever wish for.
Amy (aka. The Huntress Lives) loves to scour the site for all things Home Decor related, as I obsess over the adorable kids, jewelry and fashion pages. At one point (in June I believe) I had to "ground" myself from Etsy since I was spending so much time on there-- that lasted about a week, right Amy?
As the year comes to a close I wanted to share my most favorite purchases with you from Etsy. I hope to continue to find more and more amazing finds in 2010!
Etsy Buy #10
This adorable little chenille bunny from ChenilleTreasures I bought when I was decorating Stella's new room. Stella loves her and the bunny sits perched on the shelf above Stella's bed.
Etsy Buy #9
This darling little Kelsy Pleated Clutch from GraceyBags was a birthday gift for my sister-in-law Sheri last year. They were on their way to Mexico to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary and I worked with GraceyBags to create this Mayan-inspired clutch for the occasion... of course Sheri loved it!
Etsy Buy #8
More for Stella's room-- I actually bought this before we moved because it was just too cute to pass up! The Original Personalized Applique Minky Pillow with Ruffles from Southernsassypants . The trim is actually a Green and White Gingham- super cute! Southernsassypants had me pick out fabric/colors for my letters so it matches Stella's decor perfectly!
The Stella Sundress from Sweetiepiedesign. The answer is YES. I bought this dress primarily because it was called the Stella Sundress. HOWEVER it is darling! I ordered it in the 2T for the summer- it definitely was big but the dress has two sets of buttons for the straps (to lengthen or shorten) and the back is all stretchy so it might even fit her this summer. Here is a picture of Stella wearing it for our housewarming party 5/30/09. I think the polka dot trim is what puts it over the top!
Flag Day Dress by Apricotsandlollipops. Please just look at the picture and tell me how you could pass this little dress up for the 4th of July celebration? Stella wore it with white bloomers from Hanna Andersson with white eyelet trim.
Nest 87 by RozArt . This 12x12" original oil painting on stretched canvas caught my eye instantly. It was just the perfect little painting for my front hallway. It sure makes me smile every morning when I come down the stairs and see it hanging there.
White pillow w/fabric roses from Designfabulous. I purchased these to complement our brand new white love seat in our living room. These pillows are such a beautiful addition to the living room- clean and elegant. I just love to look at them-- Stella loves to "smell" the flowers too!
Etsy Buy #3
Mommy Calling Cards by SaraTams. I loved my first set of calling cards so much that I bought some for a Secret Santa gift last year and I have bought numerous other sweet things from here. (Birthday favor stickers, "Gift From" stickers, 8x10 print...) Pictured below is SaraTams most updated calling card. The olliegraphic collection features a design that looks just like your little one. All you do is choose from their options and create a design that looks like your child!
Etsy Buy #2
The Bookstore Browsing Dress by CarolHannah (yes, the same Carol Hannah from Project Runway!) I ordered a size small and it fit perfectly! I wore this for a going away party earlier this month and think I am going to wear it again for NYE. It is so beautiful and comfy I am so happy that I own it!
...And the WINNER of best purchase in 2009 from Etsy.com goes to Design in Wood out of Sparta, NC. I purchased a 7' Pine Farm table with matching bench. Yes, this was a huge leap of faith to order a large piece of furniture like this online, but I just knew it was the perfect table...and I was right!! Here is the table and bench in my dining room. (I cannot find them anymore on Etsy so the link takes you to their site)
