This last week has been anything but smooth.
Ruby and Stella have both been under the weather fighting what I thought was just terrible colds.
Ruby has not slept through the night since 12/26...
I get up multiple times a night to rock her back to sleep as breathing has been hard.

Stella woke up Monday night with a 101 fever... that thankfully went away quickly, but that lingering cough has been with her for over a week.
Tuesday morning Ruby learned to open up the basement door.
Normally the gate behind the basement door is locked for just the occasion, but alas, it was garbage day and someone had forgotten to shut it after grabbing the trash...
I think you can see where I am going with this...

Ruby fell down all 12 basement stairs!
With a call to 911 and a trip to the ER luckily Ruby was fine, just bruised up...
At our follow-up on Thursday at our normal peditrician she said that Ruby's Cast Scan showed lots of fluid in her sinuses and upon further exam her right ear was showing signs of potential infection so Ruby was written a script for 14 days of Amoxicillin.
Stella, never one to go unnoticed, pipped up to tell the doctor about her fever on Monday and that she also coughed up a booger that morning.
With the addition of two well placed coughs the Dr. nicely suggested taking a listen to Stella... only to find that she had a mild case of pneumonia!
WHAT???!!!!
Stella was prescribed Azithromycin.
Of course I too had been feeling under the weather and headed to my MD.
Thankfully I am getting over a sinus infection so no meds were required.
But I did spend nearly the last 3 days in bed relaxing and trying to catch up on sleep that had been missing in my daily regimen.
Basically I spend a LOT of time on Pinterest and here are a few amazing images that I found...
